We accept GP and specialist referrals to this clinic for patients diagnosed with a OSA and seen through the public system. Fax the referral to us with the clinic or specialist request section as "Dental Unit, Oral Appliance Clinic"
Costs for oral appliances in this clinic are reduced to $560 for HCH/Pensioners and $975 for hospital patients and $1700 for private patients which is an all inclusive fee. The current wait list is 2-3 months.
All referrals are triaged by the service according to clinical urgency and health care card status with priority given to patients seen through the Alfred's Sleep Unit (as well as The Austin, The Royal Melbourne, St Vincent's, Monash and Western Hospital sleep units).
To ensure appropriate and timely triage, include all demographic and clinical details as well as relevant investigation and sleep study results.

Mandibular Advancement Splint therapy costs between $1800 - $2100 in private practive and is an all inclusive fee, for a state of the art custom fitted appliance with 12 months of follow up and up to 3 years of appliance warranty against faults or damage. This is comparable to the costs of CPAP therapy and the appliances will usually last 4+ years. The wait list for this service is within 2 weeks for a consultation and 3 weeks for a fitting.
Those who have ancillary extras cover are eligible for a rebate from their private health insurance on the item number 984. Those on Health Care Cards or Pensioners are eligible for our public pricing.
